I’m Back, Folks
February 15, 2014

I had good intentions for my fall garden. My husband even tilled it, bless his heart. And then….nothing. I didn’t plant a thing. My life got a little crazy and I just couldn’t add one more thing to my plate.

BUT, I’m back.

Garden tilled. Check. Plants ready to get planted. Check. Weather is perfect. Check. Irrigation lines set up. Almost. Today is the day to work on that with our 88 degree weather forecasted today.

deca durabolin

I had to cross fence my garden area and give a little less than half to our two geese. I couldn’t stand goose poop on my patio any longer so the sacrifice is so worth it.

What are YOU planting?

Looks like we had twin winter gardens! All I had was some rogue parsley and errant but diligent sugar snap peas come up all on their own. Oh and the kale that thrived despite being neglected. We’re getting going now and have put in more sugar snap peas, some broccoli, cilantro, zucchini squash and a few tomatoes. I also put in calendula and sunchokes for the first time. I really hope the sunchokes do well. They are in a brutal spot. I enjoy your blog so I am glad you’re back. :)

Watch out for those sunchokes! When we lived in Boulder, Colorado about 3 years ago, a neighbor of mine gave a whole grocery bag full of them to me. I have 5 kids, so I thought, great! We’ll have a huge side of sautéed sunchokes for dinner. And they were very tasty. But, oh my, later on that night I had the absolute worst, eh hem, how shall I say it….gas… That I have EVER had in my life. I felt like my stomach was going to explode all night. Just a little FYI that was probably a little TMI. : ).

I hope you have great success with your garden this spring! Keep me posted!

An intriguing discussion is worth comment. I do believe that
you need to write more on this issue, it may not be a taboo matter but typically people don’t talk about these issues.
    To the next! Cheers!!

Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using?
I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m
having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then mos blogs and
I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
